Abseiling

The day after the horse races, we drove to Glenworth Valley, about 1.5hrs from Sydney (around Gosford area) and tried abseiling. New experiences for me this weekend.

It was really scary at first especially when you get to the ledge and you have to support yourself by putting one hand behind your back and supporting yourself (of course, someone is belaying you, too).

We started off at 6m, then 15m, and last was a 23m height with a cave down below. It was fun!

Check that off my list!!!

i think we are supposed to live life without fear. they are calculated risk. i am sure if it snaps, there is another cable as a backup plan. it is not stupid.

at times, you can prepare your best, but bad things still happen. bad things happen indoor says one ad on tv.

yes, looking at this from your perspective does sound reasonable, mei.

hopefully celestine is exercising good judgment and employing all the appropriate safety precautions, given the fact that I read so many young people DYING or getting seriously injured doing rock climbing and other forms of high risk activities. but you're right otherwise.

life as we now it is a risk anyway. if you go, you might as well go doing what you like, yes?? GO CELESTINE!!! Well, hopefully shes not into sleeping around and recreational sex!! They have condoms for safety reasons of course, but this alone doesn't make it right now either! LOL. Bowe, AU
